Eldritch Arts presents - The Riddle of Strider - Dice and Pencil Box:

Graduating from our Special Projects Section to our regular lineup, we are pleased to offer a new, larger sized combination dice and pencil box. Featuring a beautiful rendition of The Riddle of Strider, deeply laser engraved on the lid in contrast to the red and gold tones of the hardwood. Translation:

"All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king."


The dice slots feature foam inserts and the powerful magnets keep the lid safely in place during transport. Keep pencils, pens, dice, & tokens ready to travel at all times!

Why Jatoba? We chose to use Jatoba due to it’s strength, wear resistance and beautiful gold and reddish hue. Also known as Brazilian Cherry, it is often used for applications requiring extreme wear resistance - ranking over 2600 on the Janka Hardness Scale (nearly twice the hardness of oak). Over time with exposure to light, Jatoba will darken and take on a rich reddish hue. We felt that the durability and beauty of the wood naturally lent itself to use for our boxes and helped to ensure they would last for a lifetime – or longer!

*Please note: due to the natural variations in wood color, grain & detail, items may vary slightly from the picture. We also try to preserve the natural features of the wood (knots, worm holes, etc) as long as they do not hamper the integrity of the design & structure.
